We are now offering free, rapid at-home test kits for COVID-19 and Influenza A and B (the flu), sent directly to your home via courier, in the Avalon Peninsula Region, including St. John’s, NL.

We are also continuing to swab for respiratory viruses at two locations in St. John’s. Participants who meet the eligibility criteria will receive rapid testing and PCR testing performed by the study team.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be 5 years of age or older
• Must have at least two of the following symptoms:
  • Runny nose
  • Cough
  • Fever
  • Wheezing
  • Sore throat
  • Nasal congestion
  • Shortness of breath
  • Fatigue
  • Rapid breathing
  • Excessive mucus
  • Loss of smell or taste
  • Blood in mucus
  • Trouble sleeping due to breathing difficulties
• Symptoms must have started within the past 7 days
